How to Evolve Bonsly in Explorers of the Sky

Evolving any Pokemon in "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky" requires first beating the game. Bonsly follows the same evolutionary pattern that it does in all of the other "Pokemon" games, so after "Explorers of the Sky" is finished, you will still need to teach your Bonsly the Mimic skill to get it to evolve. However, if Bonsly is your partner Pokemon, then there is an alternate way to evolve it.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

  1. Evolving Bonsly When Not Your Partner

    • 1

Beat "Explorers of the Sky" by defeating the Primal Dialga.

    • 2

Travel to Wigglytuff's Guild and defeat Wigglytuff.

    • 3

Talk to the Ursarings in the guild. They will tell you that there is something strange about the Luminous Springs.

    • 4

Travel to the Luminous Springs, where you will be able to evolve any Pokemon other than your partner Pokemon.

    • 5

Evolve Bonsly by teaching it Mimic and entering the Luminous Springs.

Evolving Your Bonsly as Your Partner Pokemon

    • 6

Perform all of the instructions for evolving all Pokemon in "Explorers of the Sky."

    • 7

Visit either floor 3 of Miracle Sea, floor 2 of Lower Crevice Cave, floor 17 of Mt. Travail, floor 14 of Spacial Rift or floor 13 of Mystifying Forest to initiate a Darkrai event. You must have either the Secret Slab or Enigma Part in your bag, or Darkrai will not show up.

    • 8

      Defeat Darkrai and his minions.

    • 9

Recruit Manaphy when he visits your party, the night after you defeat Darkrai.

    • 10

Complete one or two missions, then return to Wigglytuff's Guild.

    • 11

Talk to the Ursarings at Wigglytuff's Guild. They will direct you to the Marine Resort, where you can evolve. Again, you must teach your Bonsly Mimic, or it will not evolve.
