How to Post a Flipnote From the DSi

Available to download from the Nintendo DSi Shop, Flipnote Studio is software gamers can use to create and share short animations. No matter what level of experience you have in animation or drawing, Flipnote Studio's friendly interface makes it simple for just about anyone to do. Using a combination of the DSi stylus, the camera and the sound application, you can create and upload your creations to share with your friend's DSi. Alternately, users can register with the Flipnote Hatena website and post a Flipnote for everyone to enjoy.

Instructions

      Open Flipnote Studio on your DSi and select "Flipnote Hatena" from the main menu. This will connect you directly to the Hatena service website.

      Read the "Terms of Use" and tap "Agree" with the stylus. Then tap the button that reads "Channel List" on the lower screen.

      Tap the channel to which you want to post your Flipnote. Channels include "Game Flipnotes," "Illustrations," "Stick Figures" and more. Tap "Description" on any channel to see its information.

      Tap "Post" in the bottom right corner of the "Description" page.

      Tap the location where you saved the Flipnote you want to upload. Possible locations include, "SD Card" or "System Memory." Once you have found your Flipnote, tap it.

      Tap "Post" to prompt the "Posting Flipnotes" terms and conditions. Read these, then tap "Agree."

      Select whether you want your Flipnote locked or unlocked. An unlocked Flipnote can be edited by other Hatena users, while a locked note cannot.

      Tap "Post" to complete the process and upload the Flipnote.
