Defeat the Snapper on the third floor. When the Snapper grabs you with his whip and pulls you close to him, slash him with your sword as quickly as possible. When the Snapper lets you go, hit him with the boomerang to stun him. Move in close and slash him with your sword. Repeat this process until the Snapper is defeated. You will be rewarded with the Snake Whip.
Use the Snake Whip to pull thorns out of cacti that block your path. To use the Snake Whip, tap the item that you want to whip. If you tap an item, Link will use the whip to pull it toward him. If you tap an enemy, Link will stun the enemy. If you tap a wooden beam, Link will swing on it to reach new areas.
Continue through the temple using the Snake Whip. When you reach the fifth floor, you will encounter a collection of swords and fish statues. Use the Snake Whip to place swords into the fish statues. In the top row, place swords into the third, fifth, eight and tenth statues. In the second row, place swords into the fourth and sixth statues. Once you have done so, a door will open that leads to the sixth floor.
Use the Snake Whip to swing across the gaps on the seventh floor. When you reach the end of the gaps, you will be at the top of the temple. Pull the lever to initiate the battle with Phytops.
Defeat Phytops by pulling spikes out of his vines using the Snake Whip. Throw the spikes into the pink bulbs on Phytops' head to reveal his eye. Throw another spike into Phytops's eye, and he will fall over. Slice Phytops in the eye with your sword while he is lying down. Repeat this process until Phytops is defeated.
Collect the Heart Container after the cinematic sequence is complete, and enter the portal to exit the Ocean Temple.
