How to Get a Jolly Personality on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky

In most iterations of the Pokémon franchise, you must speak with Professor Oak early in the game to choose your starting Pokémon. In the "Mystery Dungeon" series, you are instead given a personality test. Your test results are the determining factor in which Pokémon you receive. So, if you are looking for a specific starter, you will have to learn to game the test. Male players with jolly personalities are given a Totodile, while females are given an Eevee.

Instructions

  Select Yes when asked if you have played previous "Mystery Dungeon" games. This increases your odds of landing a new Pokémon and makes recruiting team members easier.

  Reply Certainly when you are asked if you have looked at your reflection and thought you were cool.

  Select Yes when asked if you prefer to play outside, as well as when asked if you like karaoke and lively parties.
