How to Catch Octillery on Pokemon Silver

In the Nintendo Game Boy game "Pokemon Silver," your goal is to catch one of every Pokemon in the Johto region. When Pokemon gain enough experience points in battle to reach a certain level, they evolve into a new, more advanced Pokemon. This is the only way to get certain Pokemon --- including Octillery. In order to get Octillery, you have to catch and evolve Remoraid, which itself is a rare Water-type Pokemon.

Instructions

- 1
  Get the Super Rod key item by visiting the Fishing Guru in the house to the left of the Pokemon Center in Vermillion City, after defeating the Elite Four.

  Go to Route 44, the road that leads from Blackthorn City to Mahogany Town in Johto.

  Fish with the Super Rod in the water along the side of the road, until you catch a Remoraid. Be persistent, as you will only encounter a Remoraid one time in 10.

  Catch Remoraid in a Pokeball after reducing its health to a low level.
- 5
  Add Remoraid to your traveling party of Pokemon and use it in battles, so that it gains experience. When the Remoraid reaches level 25, it will evolve into Octillery.
