How to Get Flipnote Studio for the DSi

Flipnote Studio is an interactive application for the Nintendo DSi that allows you to create animations using the stylus and the DSi's touchscreen interface. Flipnote Studio makes use of the DSi's built-in camera and microphone to enhance your animations and share your creations with other users online by uploading them to the Flipnote Hatena. Many Nintendo DSi systems come with Flipnote Studio already installed; however, if your system did not or the program was accidentally deleted, replacing the program will not cost you any additional fees.

  Configure your wireless Internet settings for your DSi if you have not already done so. This can be accomplished by opening the user configuration menu from the home screen. The DSi will automatically test and connect to nearby wireless connections. If your connection is encrypted, you will have to enter the password.

  Open the Nintendo DSi Shop program by selecting it from your main menu. Select "Start Shopping" from the start menu once your system has connected with the DSi Shop.

  Locate the Flipnote Studio program in the Nintendo DSi shop. The Flipnote Studio program is found under the "Free" section in the DSiWare section of the Nintendo DSi Shop.

  Select the Flipnote Studio program and begin the download. When the download is finished, you will find the Flipnote Studio program available on your home screen.
