How to Evolve a Mudkip on Mystery Dungeon

In "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team," you are given the opportunity to actually play as Pokemon, rather than a trainer collecting Pokemon. While the game still allows Pokemon to evolve, it handles the evolution process differently than other "Pokemon" games do. To evolve a Mudkip, you must meet certain requirements; once you meet them, the Mudkip will evolve into a Marshtomp. While the two Pokemon are similar, the Marshtomp can learn three additional moves that the Mudkip cannot: Earthquake, Mud Shot and Mud Water. The first two moves are ground-based attacks, while the third move is a water-based attack.

     Play through the game and defeat the final boss.

     Switch to your Mudkip and make it the only Pokemon in your party.

     Go to the Luminous Cave, which is to the north of the Town Square in Wishcash Pond.

     Walk to the glowing crystal and talk to it. It will ask you if you would like to evolve. Choose "Yes" and your Mudkip will evolve.
