How to Get the Last Big Star Coin on the Big Castle on World 7 in New Super Mario Bros. for DS

In "New Super Mario Bros." for the Nintendo DS, Mario must fight his way though eight worlds to rescue the kidnapped Princess. At the end of each world lies a castle that has been taken over by a boss. Every castle is filled with traps and pitfalls. Like regular levels, castles contain three large gold coins for you to find. These coins are used to purchase secret items from the Princess' castle; collecting them all also earns you a special prize. The final coin in the seventh castle is particularly tricky to nab.

     Ride the long green moving platform throughout the entire stage. You climb on this platform when you enter the stage, and you must remain on it the whole time.

     Wait until you see the large red boss door. When the green platform stops moving, stand on its right edge.

   • 3

     Allow the platform to shake and then fall, with you standing on it. Just before the platform falls off the screen, jump up and to the right to grab the coin. If done correctly, this lets you land safely on the boss door ledge.
