Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise Cheats

"Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise" is the 2008 Nintendo DS version of the 2006 Xbox 360 and PC video game "Viva Pinata." In this DS life-simulation game, your goal is to transform a plain plot of land into an eye-catching garden. Hints and cheats for "Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise" can help you achieve this goal.
  1. Unlock Rare Items

    • It's possible to acquire rare items from Costalot's store, but you have to unlock them first. Talk to Ivor Beggar and give him 1,000 chocolate coins when he asks for money. He will ask for milk, a slice of carrot cake and a sandwich; supply him with Moozipan, a carrot, corn and bread. Then give him Goobaa and a pumpkin when he asks for wool and a jack-o'-lantern. One week later, Ivor Beggar will start selling rare items inside Costalot's store. These items include One-Pour Wonder and Gem Seed.

    Quick Construction

    • Start building at night to speed up construction. Keep an eye on Willy Builder because he will fall asleep around the halfway point of the building project. Poke the side of the building crate with your shovel twice, and Willy will wake. He will immediately get back to his job and work much faster.

    Unlock New Pinatas

    • You can unlock new pinatas in "Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise" by either tapping the egg of another pinata or feeding certain items to particular pinatas. Repeatedly tap a Syrupent egg with your stylus until smoke emerges to unlock a Twingersnap. Do the same to a Twingersnap egg to unlock a Fourheads pinata. Feed a Newtgat a chilly to unlock a Salamango or feed a Sparrowmint a buttercup flower to receive a Candary pinata. For a Zumbug, make a Horstachio eat a blackberry. Feed a Quackberry a gooseberry to unlock a Juicygoose.

    Other Cheats

    • Move a Taffy into lit Firebrand and pour water on it immediately as it sets on fire; the Taffy will transform into a Reddhott. Reddhotts cost 2,100 chocolate coins, 1,500 more coins than a Taffy, so this trick generates instant profit.

Change the date on your Nintendo DS to your birthday, and a cake will be waiting when you load up the game. Use a shovel to smash it open and collect the Romance Candy, Happy Candy and egg that fall from the cake.
