How to Find the Hair Salon in Animal Crossing: Wild World

Part of the fun of "Animal Crossing: Wild World" for Nintendo DS is creating a virtual avatar of yourself to live in a town filled with talking animals. The game allows players to customize their avatars down to the style of their hair, however the option to get a new hairdo is not immediately available. To get the hairstylist Harriet to open her hair salon Shampoodle, you must first unlock the final upgrade for Tom Nook's store -- the department store Nookington's.

Instructions

  Spend 200,000 Bells at Tom Nook's store over the course of the game. This does not include the money you pay Tom Nook for your house payment.

  Invite a friend to bring his or her Animal Crossing character over to your town. In order to unlock Nookington's, you must have a friend visiting from another town buy an item from Tom Nook's store in your town. This can be achieved both by playing with a friend via a DS-to-DS connection or by sharing a friend code with a friend online and playing through a Wi-Fi connection.

  Visit Tom Nook's store when it opens after remodeling. The Shampoodle hair salon is on the main floor of Nookington's, inside a door on the very back wall.
