How to Play Sims 3 on Action Replay

The "Sims 3" is a simulation game that allows users to play the lives of multiple avatars called Sims. The third game in the franchise was recently released for multiple consoles, including the Nintendo DS handheld console. Owners of the Action Replay device, which is a peripheral that allows users to input cheat codes for games on the DS system, can drastically alter the gameplay by implementing new cheat codes to their device.

Instructions

  Connect your Action Replay device to your computer via the USB cord that came with the peripheral.

  Open the Action Replay Code Manager software. The software is provided on a CD that is packaged with the device.

  Right-click on the "My Codelists" panel on the bottom-right of the screen.

  Click "Add new cheat." A new window will appear.

  Enter one of the game's numerous cheat codes into the device (see Resources). The cheat code will automatically be uploaded to the Action Replay device.

  Disconnect your Action Replay device from the USB cord.

  Insert the Action Replay device into your Nintendo DS console. The device should fit snugly and the device's exterior slot should be visible so that you can fit another DS card into it.

  Insert the "Sims 3" card into the device.

  Start your Nintendo DS and the "Sims 3."

  Activate the cheat's trigger.
