How to Move Team Rocket in Order to Get the Key Card in Pokemon Yellow

To access certain areas in "Pokemon Yellow," you will need various keys and tickets. One such item is the Card Key, which is stored inside the Silph Co. building in Saffron City. You can't get to it immediately, though --- a member of Team Rocket is blocking the door. In order to get past him and get to the key card, you need to first go to Lavender Town and defeat Team Rocket there.

Instructions

  Go to Lavender Town, and head into the Pokemon Tower. In here you'll be attacked from time to time by Pokemon --- mostly Gastlys and Haunters, but occasionally a Cubone.

  Head up through the tower, battling your way past the trainers there who get in your way, until you meet Team Rocket at the top of the tower.

  Defeat Jessie and James, the Team Rocket "boss" figures. They've got a level 27 Meowth, a level 27 Arbok and a level 27 Weezing.

  Head west on Route 8 to Saffron City, and go to the Silph Co. building.

  Go up to the fifth floor, and take the small corridor in the southwest of the level.

  Defeat the Rocket who is guarding the transporter --- he's only got one Pokemon, a Level 33 Arbok.

  Hop into the transporter, and then get out and in again after you land. The corridor heading off to the right is now accessible --- head down there to get the Card Key.
