Pokewalker: How to Catch a Flying Pikachu

The Pokewalker is a Tamagotchi-like accessory that comes bundled with "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver." Using the Pokewalker, you can transfer a Pokemon from your copy of Pokemon and walk around with it during the day, playing mini-games and catching Pokemon. With the Pokewalker, you can catch a variety of Pokemon you usually cannot catch in the games. The flying Pikachu, a Pikachu that knows the move "Fly," is one such Pokemon.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect your Nintendo DS to the Nintendo WFC and download the "Yellow Forest" course for the Pokewalker.

    • 2

Transfer a Pokemon and the "Yellow Forest" course to your Pokewalker. Select the "Yellow Forest" course.

    • 3

Walk 10,000 steps. It usually takes about 30 minutes to register 8,000 steps with the Pokewalker, so 10,000 steps will not take much more than that. The flying Pikachu will only appear if you have walked 10,000 steps.

    • 4

Select the "Pokemon" option to begin the Pokemon capture mini-game. Only select the grass that has three exclamation marks. Once you have done so, begin the battle.

    • 5

Capture the Pikachu by lowering its health and throwing Pokeballs at it. Once you have caught it, transfer it back to your main game file.
