How to Get Legendaries to Appear on the Poketch App

In the Nintendo DS games "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Pearl," your character is equipped with a Poketch gadget which is capable of performing many functions. Different applications for the Poketch can be collected throughout the game, including clocks, a calculator and a pedometer. One particularly important Poketch app is the Marking Map, which can help you to catch the Legendary Pokemon Mespirit and Cresselia. These are roaming Pokemon, which move around the game's map at random, so it is difficult to find and battle them without the Marking Map telling you exactly where they are.

     Play through the game to Veilstone City and defeat Maylene, the Veilstone Pokemon Gym Leader. She specializes in Fighting-type Pokemon, and has a Level 27 Meditite, a Level 27 Machoke and a Level 30 Lucario.

     Get the Veilstone Badge from Maylene.

     Head back to Jubilife City, near where you started the game.

     Go to the Poketch company building and speak to the Poketch President. He'll give you the Marking Map Poketch application.

     Use the Marking Map application on your Poketch and you can get the locations of roaming Legendary Pokemon such as Mesprit and Cresselia.
