How to Evolve Electabuzz in Diamond

To become the ultimate Pokémon champion in "Pokémon Diamond", you must defeat the Elite Four and capture all the Pokémon in the game. Besides catching all the Pokemon that exist in the wild, you must also evolve Pokémon to fill your Pokédex. Although most Pokémon evolve through leveling up, some must hold special items during battles to evolve. One such Pokémon is Electrabuzz; to evolve him into Electivire, you must obtain and make him hold the Electrizer

Instructions

  Defeat the Elite Four to receive the National Pokédex, which will inform you where the Elekid Pokémon are located.

  Open your Pokédex and scroll through the list until you find the description of Elekid. Press the "A" button to read the description. Scroll down to "Map" to see where the wild Elekids are located (around Route 205).

  Use your Pokémon's Fly ability to travel to Floaroma Town. Before you enter Route 205, make sure one of your Pokémon has the ability to use the Knock Off move during battle.

  Travel east of Floaroma Town onto Route 205 and begin walking in the tall grass. Battle the wild Elekids and use the Knock Off move until one of them drops the Electrizer item. The item will be sent directly to the "Items" section of your travel bag.

  Make your Electabuzz hold the Electrizer item while you walk around and engage in battles. Although it is uncertain how long it takes to evolve Electabuzz while holding the Electrizer, you can speed up the evolution process by preventing your Electabuzz from fainting in battle and using it frequently in fights. Once your Electabuzz is ready to evolve, a message will pop up; your Electabuzz will then appear on the screen and transform into Electivire.
