How to Get Heatran

Heatran is a fire- and steel-type Pokemon that can be caught in "Pokemon Pearl," "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Platinum." For all other versions of Pokemon, you will need to trade Heatran from one of those three games. Heatran can be found in the innermost room in Stark Mountain and is at Level 70 when you first encounter it. Heatran is a very tough Pokemon, so come prepared with plenty of healing items and Poke Balls.

Instructions

  Travel to Stark Mountain between Route 227 and Route 228.

  Enter Stark Mountain and make your way to the stairs at the north end of the first floor.

  Continue going through the mountain, going down every set of stairs you encounter.

  Enter the innermost room on the final floor. Heatran will be in the room at Level 70. Go up to it and talk to it to initiate the battle.

  Use a Master Ball to capture Heatran as quickly as possible. If you do not have a Master Ball, you will need to weaken it using fighting or water-type moves, then throwing Poke Balls at it until it is caught.
