How to Get the Colored Pichu and Pikachu

In "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver" for the Nintendo DS, you can obtain a Pichu that has the same color scheme as a Pikachu through a special Nintendo Wi-Fi event. Once you have received that Pichu, you can then evolve it into a Pikachu by raising its happiness to the max level. The Pikachu-colored Pichu does not have any other extra powers or attributes and is only for aesthetic purposes, although it can be used to obtain a special spiky-eared Pichu.

     Connect to the Nintendo wireless network by selecting "Nintendo WFC" from the main menu. Select "Wireless Connection" if you are in a location that is distributing the Pikachu-colored Pichu, such as Gamestop.

     Select the "Mystery Gift" option to begin downloading the Pichu.

     Go to any Pokemon Center and talk to the delivery man to receive your Pichu. If you wish to evolve your Pichu, raise its happiness and level it up by one to evolve it into a Pikachu.
