How to Evolve a Piloswine in Pokemon

Piloswine, an ice- and ground-type Pokemon that navigates through its surroundings based on scent, evolves from the Pokemon Swinub. In "Pokemon: Diamond," "Pearl" and "Platinum," Piloswine is found along Route 217. In "HeartGold" and "SoulSilver," Piloswine cannot be found in the wild. Its previous form, Swinub, can be found along the Ice Path. Piloswine can eventually evolve into Mamoswine, a tusk-bearing Pokemon, when it learns the move "AncientPower."

Instructions

    • 1

Place your "Pokemon" game into the Nintendo DS, and resume your saved game.

    • 2

Enter the Battle Tower, located in the Battle Frontier, and compete against non-player characters. As you successfully complete battles, you will earn a form of currency called "battle points." Earn 40 battle points, and exit the Battle Tower.

    • 3

Travel to the Frontier Front. Enter the Move Tutor's house to find three men sitting at a table. Speak to the man sitting at the bottom right side of the table. In exchange for battle points, you can purchase certain moves. Select "A" to accept the move offer.

    • 4

Select the Pokemon Piloswine from your party. Move through the move options offered by the move tutor. Select "AncientPower" and press "A." Piloswine will learn the ability "AncientPower."

    • 5

Use Piloswine in battles as often as possible after it learns "AncientPower." When Piloswine levels up, it will automatically evolve. Swinub evolves into Piloswine at level 33. If Piloswine learns "AncientPower" at level 33, it will become Mamoswine at level 34.
