Select the "Punch" icon when it is your turn to punch Midbus and damage him. Press "X" when Bowser lifts his leg to punch to deal additional damage. When this occurs, "Excellent" will be displayed on the screen and you are given coins that automatically increase your attack power.
Select the "Vacuum" icon during your turn when the audience throws meat onto the stage. Select the meat and press "X" rapidly to have Bowser inhale it. The meat replenishes 50 health points and increases your damage for the duration of the fight. Do this every time the meat appears, or else Midbus will eat it and reap the benefits.
Press down on the directional pad to duck when Midbus swings his ball and chain near you. Press "X" to punch and deflect the ball and chain when Midbus throws it at you after he finishes swinging it. If Midbus throws the ball and chain above you, press "Y" to cover yourself with your shell to avoid damage.
Press "Y" to hide inside of your shell when Midbus rolls himself into a ball and jumps above you. Press "X" when Midbus rolls himself into a ball and throws himself straight at you. If either button is pressed before the attack hits, Midbus will be injured and Bowser will receive no damage.
Press "X" repeatedly to punch Midbus when he swells up and walks toward you. It takes nine punches to counter this attack, or else he will injure you.
Continue to attack and counterattack Midbus until he is defeated, inhaling any food items that appear.
