How to Activate the Shiny Pokemon Code

The Datel Action Replay device allows you to enter long lines of code that allow you cheat in games for the Nintendo DS, including Pokemon games such as "Pokemon Platinum," "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Pearl." One of the cheats available for these games is the Shiny Pokemon code. Unlike many cheats for the Action Replay, the Shiny Pokemon code does not automatically modify your game -- it must be activated during gameplay.

Instructions

      Load your game after entering the Shiny Pokemon Action Replay cheat. Start a new game or continue a previously saved game.

      Press "X," then highlight the "Trainer Card" option using the directional pad. Press "A" to look at your Trainer Card.

    • 3

      Press "R" and "A" at the same time while viewing your Trainer Card to activate the Shiny Pokemon Code. This turns all Pokemon, including your captured Pokemon and those encountered in the wild, shiny.
