How to Record on Your DSi

The Nintendo DSi was released in 2009 as an upgrade to the Nintendo DS. One new feature, found only on the Nintendo DSi, is the "Nintendo DSi Sound" program. This program allows you to use the Nintendo DSi's built-in mic, located in the middle of the two DSi screens, to record a sound. All sounds are saved to your DSi's internal memory. "Nintendo DSi Sound" is included on all Nintendo DSi systems.

Instructions

    • 1

Tap the "Nintendo DSi Sound" icon, from the main menu of your Nintendo DSi, to launch the program.

    • 2

Tap "Record and Edit a Sound."

    • 3

Tap any of the white balloons.

    • 4

Tap "Record" and speak into the microphone, or play your sound into the mic to start auto-recording.

    • 5

Press the "Stop" button to stop recording. Sounds can only be 10 seconds in length. At 10 seconds, the recording will automatically stop.

    • 6

Tap "OK" to save your recording.
