How Do I Get Online With a DSi?

The Nintendo DSi was released in 2009, and includes many improvements over the Nintendo DS. One of these improvements are built-in online features, such as a web browser and online shop where users can purchase and download games to their DSi system. In order to get online with the Nintendo DSi, a broadband Internet connection and a wireless router are required.

  Turn on your Nintendo DSi.

  Tap the "System Settings" icon. This icon is in the form of a wrench.

  Tap "Internet," located on the third page of the "System Settings" menu.

  Tap "None," located next to "Connection 1."

  Click "Search for an Access Point."

  Select your wireless router from the list provided. Enter your router's WEP or WPA security key if prompted. Tap "OK."

  Tap "Save Settings."

  Tap "Yes." Your Nintendo DSi will perform a connection test. You are now able to use all of the online features of your Nintendo DSi while you are in range of your wireless router.
