How to Get the Poké Ball on Top of the Solaceon Ruins

To get the Poké Ball on top of the Solaceon Ruins in "Pokémon Platinum," you must complete a race with a character called Ruin Maniac. You will see the Poké Ball above the entrance to the ruins; it may appear mysteriously inaccessible, but you will be able to reach the area where it is located by going through the Maniac Tunnel after you finish the race. You will be rewarded for your efforts with one of the game's rare Poké Ball Candies, which will raise a Pokémon's level by one.

Instructions

- 1
  Talk to the Ruin Maniac. He is located in the Ruin Maniac Cave, which you can reach through Route 214. The cave is located south of Veilstone City, on the left hand side of the screen. It is the only cave along the road. The cave has only one room, so the Ruin Maniac will be clearly visible.

  The Ruin Maniac will suggest a race between you two; he will dig a tunnel through the mountain, while you will collect 26 Unown, which are Pokémon shaped like the letters of the alphabet. Whoever finishes his task first wins the race.

  Collect all 26 Unown -- one for each letter of the alphabet.

  Return to the Ruin Maniac. A tie will be declared.

  Walk through the newly dug Maniac Tunnel, located next to Ruin Maniac inside the cave.

  Collect the Unown labeled "!" and "?"
- 7
  Pick up the Poké Ball from the ledge in front of you.
