How to Ice in Pokémon HeartGold

The Nintendo DS game "Pokémon HeartGold" allows you to catch and train Pokémon, while exploring a virtual environment. As you play the game, you can acquire special abilities to improve your skills in battle. One special ability is the TM13 Ice Beam. When you find or buy this item, you can use it in battle against other Pokémon. The TM13 Ice Beam hits your opponent with an icy cold beam of energy; it may even freeze your enemy solid. There is one location where you can find this item and one where you can buy it. Once it is in your inventory of items, you can use it any time in battle.

Instructions

Find a TM13 Ice Beam

  Go to the Seafoam Islands. These islands are twin-like in their appearance and can be found on Route 20.

  Work your way through the maze of Islands. Take the stairs and go four levels down to the fourth basement.

  Go to the North-East corner of this floor, where you will find the TM13 Ice Beam. Add it to your items.
Buy a TM13 Ice Beam

  Go to Goldenrod City, which is a large city located in Western Johto.

  Go to Goldenrod Game Corner, which is located across from the North-South main road and department store in Goldenrod.

  Play either the Card Flip or the Slot Machines to gamble and earn more coins. Both games allow you to bet and win coins randomly.

  Go to the Prize Corner and buy a TM13 Ice Beam for 10,000 coins.
