How to Complete The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Map

As you progress through "The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks," you must constantly backtrack to the Tower of Spirits to collect pieces of a Rail Map that tell you how to get to each new Temple. Collecting the Fire Realm Map, the last piece of the Rail Map, allows you to finish the map. Collecting this piece of the map requires you to solve a series of puzzles in order to climb from the 13th to the 17th floor of the Tower of Spirits.

Instructions

    • 1

Return to the Tower of Spirits after completing the quest in the Snow Temple. Speak with Anjean and he'll tell you a bit more about getting the Fire Map, the final piece of the Rail Map. Enter the tower and climb up to the 13th floor.

    • 2

Explore the 13th floor, but be wary of the Phantom Eyes. The eyes act like searchlights and send Warp Phantoms after you. Dodge their gazes or defeat them to progress through the floor. As you explore, find two Phantom Eyes guarding Tears of Light, which you must defeat to collect the items. After the first Tear of Light, find statues of fish. Use your whip to pull the sword from the hand of the middle statue, then place the sword in the hand of the right statue. Avoid the Phantom Eye and open the adjacent treasure chest for a small key.

    • 3

Use the small key on the locked door near the Warp Phantom's roosting spot, then climb the stairs to the 14th floor. Head south and kill the Phantom Eye. Distract the Warp Phantom that is guarding the Tear of Light by throwing your boomerang at the wall nearby. Collect the Tear of Light and strike the Warp Phantom so Zelda can take control of it. Go back down to the 13th floor.

    • 4

Head to the southwest and kill the Phantom Eye. Climb the stairs and cross the bridge to get to a treasure chest holding a small key. Head west and open the locked door. Leave Link at the crystal switch in this area and take control of Zelda. Warp to the northwest, kill the Phantom Eye, then head southwest to find another crystal switch. Strike it, switch control back to Link and have him strike his crystal switch. Have Zelda go back to Link, then go through the door you just opened.

    • 5

Kill the enemies in this area with Zelda, then leave her by the switch near the sand. Have Link cross the sand to the other switch, then have both characters hit their respective switches to form a bridge that Zelda can cross. Repeat this process for the spiked area, but send Zelda across and leave Link to hit the switches to form another bridge. Cross it and find the fish statues. Use the whip to remove the sword from one statue, then place it in the other to open the door to the 15th floor.

    • 6

Head up to the 15th floor. This entire floor is essentially a series of puzzles similar to the ones you just solved. You must switch control between Link and Zelda to cross over spikes and progress through the floor. Follow the linear path of spikes and switches, transferring control between both characters as necessary, to get to the end of the floor. Collect the key from the treasure chest near the large door and open the locked door to get to the 16th floor.

Have Zelda warp to the other side of the map to solve the puzzle of this room. Watch the pattern that phantom uses and have Zelda mimic it to open the door at the center of the room. Head upstairs to the 17th floor. Link's sword will stop glowing and Zelda will revert back to normal. Walk up the stairs to get the Fire Rail Map.
