How to Use the Pokemon Platinum Move Modifier Code

Action Replay allows users to enter cheat codes for games such as "Pokemon Platinum." These codes offer a variety of benefits, and in the Pokemon series they can be used to modify existing skills. These skills are taught by items known as "Technical Machines" (TMs) and "Hidden Machines" (HMs). In normal gameplay, TMs and HMs are found, purchased or learned by Pokemon. Action Replay lets you swap a common skill for any other found in the game by entering a simple code.

  Turn on your Nintendo DS and insert your Action Replay unit.

  From the Nintendo DS main menu, select "Action Replay." When your Action Replay loads, enter the following code into the field:

  Replace the "XXXX" with "0" followed by the code for your desired move. To find a list of all move codes in the game, visit the NeoSeeker website.

  Load your game file for "Pokemon Platinum." All Pokemon that had the skill "TM1 Focus Punch" will now have the move you chose to replace it with. You can also teach the modified move to a Pokemon, if desired.
