How to Get the TM/HM to Climb Up Rocks in Pokemon HeartGold

"Pokemon HeartGold," released in North America in 2010, re-made the Game Boy Color "Pokemon Gold" for the new handheld Nintendo DS system. In the game are many HM's which teach Pokemon moves that can be used in and out of battle. None are harder to get in this game than HM08, "Rock Climb." But once you have it, you can climb Mt. Silver and face Red, the highest-level trainer in the game.

     Defeat all 16 gym leaders in the Johto and Kanto regions. This requires going through almost the entire video game and beating each gym.

     Go to Pallet Town and find Professor Oak inside his laboratory.

     Talk to Professor Oak and he will tell you Mt. Silver is open. He will give you HM08. You can now teach your Pokemon "Rock Climb" to climb up the mountain.
