How Do I Get the HM Move Cut on Pokemon SoulSilver?

"Cut" is a Hidden Machine move, or HM move, introduced in the first generation "Red," "Blue," and "Yellow" Pokemon games. When taught to a Pokemon, it enables trainers to cut down small trees that would otherwise prevent them from advancing. Like all HM moves, "Cut" cannot be deleted or overridden once taught, except with the help of the Move Deleter. In the "HeartGold" and "SoulSilver" games, the trainer must return two playful Farfetch'd to their trainer to obtain "Cut."

Instructions

  Defeat Bugsy in the Azalea Town Gym. Heal your Pokemon and enter the west gatehouse. Defeat your rival.

  Heal your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center if necessary, and head through the west gatehouse to reach the Ilex Forest. Head up, and talk to the trainer to initiate the Farfetch'd challenge.

  Head right and step on the twigs. Continue right, avoid the next set of twigs and circle around to get behind the Farfetch'd. Walk up to the Farfetch'd and press "A" to catch it.

  Go up the left path and press "A" to chase the second Farfetch'd to the right side of the screen. Head down and take the right path. Step on the first set of twigs to make the Farfetch'd face right.

  Head up and ignore the next set of twigs. Circle around to get behind the Farfetch'd. Go down and press "A" to catch the second Farfetch'd. The owner will approach you and give you HM01, which contains "Cut."
