How Do You Use the EV Modifier in Pokemon Diamond?

"Pokemon Diamond" is one of the games released in the fourth generation of the Pokemon series. In "Pokemon Diamond," you can defeat Pokemon to receive experience points in order to level-up your Pokemon. Some Pokemon will also give effort values, or EVs, when defeated. These improve your Pokemon's battle stats and makes your Pokemon much stronger. Certain items modify the effort values, allowing you to improve your Pokemon's stats much faster.

Instructions

  Make sure you have at least one EV modifier in your inventory. These include the Macho Brace, the Power Weight, the Power Bracer, the Power Belt, the Power Lens, the Power Band, and the Power Anklet.

  Press "Start" and select "Items." Select the desired item. Each item raises a different EV stat. The Power Weight raises the amount of HP EV's you receive, the Power Bracer raises the amount of Attack EV's, the Power Belt raises the amount of Defense EV's, the Power Lens raises the amount of Special Attack EV's, the Power Band raises the amount of Special Defense EV's you receive, and the Power Anklet increases the number of Speed EV's. All of the "Power" items raise the specific EV's by four. The Macho Brace doubles the amount of EV's received for all stats.

  Press "Start" or the "A" button once you have selected the desired EV modifier. Press "Give" and choose the Pokemon you wish to give the modifier. Press "Confirm."

  Remove the item by clicking the Pokemon holding the item from the "Pokemon" menu and selecting "Item" and "Remove."
