How to Catch a Castform in the PokeWalker

With the purchase of either "Pokemon HeartGold" or "Pokemon SoulSilver," you receive a PokeWalker that lets you gain experience for your Pokemon just by walking around in real life. Additionally, you can catch certain Pokemon exclusively found in routes on the PokeWalker. For example, you can only catch Castform on the Treehouse path after walking a certain number of steps.

Instructions

    • 1

      Load "Pokemon HeartGold" or "Pokemon SoulSilver" to the main menu.

      Select "Connect to PokeWalker." Wait for the device to connect.

      Select the Treehouse as your route.

    • 4

      Walk 5,000 real-life steps with the PokeWalker in your hand or clipped to your belt.

      Load your Pokemon game and connect to the Pokewalker to receive data. After walking 5,000 steps, you will receive either a Castform or a Kecleon. If you receive the Kecleon, you must wait until the next day to try again.
