Frying Dumplings
Making and frying dumplings requires precise movement and a steady hand. If you aren't careful, it's possible to overfill the holes in the dumpling pan, resulting in a failing grade. Tap one of the holes in the dumpling pan to start the process. Dumpling batter begins to pour into the hole. When you see the batter approaching the top of the pan, tap the hole again to stop pouring batter before it overflows. Do this for the rest of the holes. Slide your stylus in the direction of the arrow that appears to flip a dumpling, and then tap the dumpling itself to mold it into the right shape. Draw a circle around the dumpling with the stylus to finish the task.
Removing Finished Pasta or Stock
After boiling many items in a pot of water, you need to remove the item from the water. To do this, you are required to tilt the pot carefully over a strainer. You must tilt the pot at an angle so that the food does not fly out and miss the strainer. If this happens, you'll fail the task. To ensure the food stays where it's supposed to, put the stylus on the pot, and then drag the stylus up very slowly and steadily. As you do, water will pour out of the pot, as well as the food. Continue pulling up on the stylus as more pieces of food fall out of the pot. When all the pieces are in the strainer, the task is complete.
Breading Food
Most deep-fried items need to be breaded first. In this task, you must coat the food with breadcrumbs before time runs out. Since you're given about 30 seconds, you need to work fast. Tap the food with the stylus as quickly as you can, making sure to tap different areas each time. Slide the stylus across the food to flip it over, and then do the same thing to the other side. If one side doesn't look like it has enough breadcrumbs, flip it over and tap it a few more times. If you finish the task before the time runs out, the gold medal is yours.
Separating Stuffing
For this task, you need to separate balls of stuffing by taking the correct amount out of a bowl. This is very difficult, since you need the exact amount to complete the task. Use the stylus to trace a circle around the middle part of the stuffing bowl. The amount of stuffing you circled is removed. Next, draw a circle around the top part of the bowl. More stuffing is removed. Draw your final circle around the bottom part of the bowl to remove the last ball of stuffing.
Peeling Vegetables
Before you can begin cooking, you usually need to prepare your ingredients, which often requires you to peel vegetables. When peeling, it may seem like you need to go over the vegetable several times before the skin comes off. Keep the stylus on the screen at all times, without lifting it, to minimize this problem. To peel successfully, put the stylus in the top-left corner, and then begin making downward strokes, moving the stylus to the right slowly as the skin comes off. When all the skin is gone on one side, the vegetable is automatically turned for you. You get a gold medal for completing this task within the time limit.
