How to Make a Perfect Pokemon Team

"Pokemon" is a video game sensation where you catch, train and battle your Pokemon as you compete to be the best. Creating a perfect Pokemon team is not easy. You will have to spend time training your Pokemon to the highest level. You will also have to tweak your Pokemon's moves and items to ensure your team has no weakness. By following a few simple steps you can create your perfect Pokemon team and battle your way to the top.

Instructions

    • 1

Choose six Pokemon to make up your team. Deciding on which Pokemon to use can be difficult, but you should try to create a well rounded team by using mixture of Pokemon types. If you have created a team of all grass-type Pokemon then if you came up against a fire-type trainer you would struggle. So, include a mixture of Pokemon types such as fire, grass, water, electric, flying and dragon so your team has no major weaknesses.

Level Up your Pokemon. The hardest and most time consuming part of creating a perfect Pokemon team is leveling them up to lvl 100. There is no easy way to do this but you can significantly reduce the time it takes by performing a few tricks. If you are lucky enough to catch a Chansey holding a Lucky Egg, you can reduce the time it takes to level up a Pokemon by twenty five percent. Also, a traded Pokemon levels up twice as fast as a normal Pokemon. You can use Rare Candy items to level up your team quickly, but a Pokemon that develops in this way will be weaker than one which has been trained.

Tweak your team by changing moves and using held items. If a Pokemon is struggling to fit into your line up, then try changing some moves before substituting the Pokemon. For example, if it is a grass-type Pokemon that is struggling against fire-type Pokemon, see if it can learn a water-type move to strengthen it against fire-types. There are also hold items that increase the effectiveness of certain move types, or even recover health, such as the Shell Bell. By tweaking these moves and items you can give yourself a big advantage going into battle.

Try using legendary Pokemon in your team. Legendary Pokemon are usually caught at a high level, so the time it takes to train them will be far less. They also have many fantastic special abilities.

    • 5

Practice with your Pokemon Team. Test your team out against Gym Leaders and the Elite Four before battling with your team online. Look out for any weaknesses and make any necessary changes to your line-up before taking your team online and battling other trainers. Once you have finished training and tweaking you should have the perfect Pokemon team.
