Ganlon Berry
The Ganlon Berry is a mysterious berry that can only be found in Hoenn Field after walking over 8,000 steps with your Pokewalker. A Ganlon berry tree will yield two to five berries. The berry takes 120 hours to ripen, and has a very hard firmness. It has a smoothness of "+40," and has a dry, bittersweet flavor to Pokemon. When holding the Ganlon berry, a Pokemon's defense will be increased one level in the event that its HP drops below 33 percent.
Petaya Berry
The Petaya Berry is a rare berry that can be found in the Scary Cave after walking over 8,000 steps. A planted Petaya berry seed will mature into a full grown tree in 24 hours. The trees will typically yield between two and five berries. Like the Ganlon berry, the Petaya berry has a very hard firmness and a smoothness of "+40." The berry has a spicy, bitter and sour taste to Pokemon. When holding the berry, a Pokemon will increase its special attack level by one if his HP drops below 33 percent.
Apicot Berry
The Apicot berry can be found in the Volcano Path after completing 8,000 steps with the Pokewalker. The rare berry is used to raise a Pokemon's special defense a level when its HP drops below 1/3 of its total. The berry has a dry, sour and spicy flavor, a very hard firmness and a "+40" smoothness. The Apicot berry tree also yields two to five berries.
Rowap Berry
The Rowap berry is perhaps the rarest berry in "Pokemon SoulSilver." It cannot be found in a specific location. Instead, Nintendo gave the Rowap berry with a Pokemon named Arceus during special promotional events for the game. Currently, the Rowap berry can only be found by trading for it with a trainer that owns it. The berry has a very soft firmness, and a sour and spicy flavor. The berry allows a Pokemon to attack another Pokemon with recoil damage after being attacked with a special move.
