Hatch Eggs Quickly

• Put a Pokemon with the Magma Armor or Flame Body ability into your party. Now go to Amity Square and walk around. This will cut down the time it takes to hatch an egg immensely. You can also go to Solaceon Town and ride your bike up and down the right side of the path next to the Pokecenter to do this quickly.

A Mostly Invincible Pokemon

• This trick only works for a double battle. Get a Pokemon that is a Ghost-Dark hybrid, a Shedinja and a Pokemon that has the Skill Swap ability. Enter the Shedinja and use the Pokemon with Skill Swap to fight first. Use Skill Swap on the Shedinja, and then switch the Shedinja with the Ghost-Dark Pokemon. Now use Skill Swap on the Ghost-Dark Pokemon. This will switch Wonderguard to the Ghost-Dark Pokemon, who already can't be dealt Super Effective Damage, making it impervious to attacks (but not to other methods of dealing damage such as recoil).

Trick the Clock

• Some events and quests require the time in-game to be a specific time, or they require a certain amount of time to have passed. The game uses the DS's internal clock to calculate time, so you can change the clock on the DS to the desired time to either make an event happen or to elapse time.

Level Up Spheres

• Go to the underground part of the game and bury many spheres of the same color in the same spot. They will level more quickly.

Catching "Trick"

• There is a trick that has been talked about since the original Pokemon games and is currently believed by many to help tremendously when catching Pokemon. Use any Pokeball to try and catch a Pokemon. As soon as you have thrown the ball and the Pokemon is trying to escape, start pressing the "A" button as rapidly as possible. This does not always work, but many players report success.

Action Replay

• The best and most substantial cheats for "Pokemon Pearl" require that the player have an Action Replay cartridge. These must be purchased and are placed in the slot where a game would go. You must turn the DS on, and when prompted switch the cartridge to the desired game. This will bring up a large list of codes that can be used to cheat, and many more can be found online.
