How to Find Maylene in Pokemon Platnium

Nintendo released "Pokemon: Platinum" in 2009. As with previous "Pokemon" games, the game's main quest entails collecting badges from the elite Pokemon trainers. Maylene is the gym leader in Veilstone City, making her one of the best trainers in Sinnoh. After you beat her in her gym, she goes on a training mission across the country, and the player will encounter her in two additional locations. Although "Diamond" and "Pearl" also feature Maylene in the Veilstone Gym, she only goes on her training mission in "Platinum."

Instructions

  Travel to Veilstone City, which is west on Route 215 and south on Route 214. Enter the gym, which is on the western side of the city. You'll find Maylene in the gym.

  Speak with Maylene to fight her. She has three Pokemon, including Meditite, Machoke and Lucario. You can defeat the first two with flying Pokemon, such as Tornadus or Dragonite. Use a fire Pokemon for the third, such as Entei or Heatmor.

  Go north from Mount Coronet to reach Route 216 and then Route 217. As soon as you enter 217, you'll encounter Maylene trudging through the snow. After a brief cutscene, she walks away.

  Continue to Snowpoint City, which is down Route 217 and east past Lake Acuity. You'll find Maylene in the Pokemon Center, which is located in the center of town.
