How Do I Get Umbreon in Pokemon HeartGold?

Umbreon is one of five potential evolutions of Eevee in "Pokemon HeartGold." A Dark-type Pokemon, Umbreon is strong against Ghost- and Psychic-type Pokemon, two very powerful Pokemon types, but weak against Fighting-, Steel- and other Dark-type Pokemon. Eevee can evolve into Umbreon at any level, but only if two conditions are met: it must have maximum happiness, and must gain a level at night. Once these are met, your Eevee will evolve into Umbreon the next time it gains a level.

  Travel to the Celadon City Department Store, located in Celadon City.

  Take the elevator to the fifth floor and purchase Lemonade from the vending machine. When given to a Pokemon, Lemonade will increase its happiness. Each Lemonade costs $350.

  Give Eevee the lemonade from the "Item" menu. Depending on your Eevee's current happiness, it can take anywhere from eight to 12 lemonades to achieve maximum happiness.

  Travel to Golderod City and place your Eevee in the first slot in your Pokemon lineup.

  Enter the house next to the Goldenrod Department Store, and speak to the woman inside. She will tell you the happiness of your Pokemon. When your Eevee is at maximum happiness, she says "It looks really happy! He must love you a lot!" If she does not say this, return to Celadon City and give your Eevee more lemonade.

  Battle wild Pokemon and other trainers at night with your Eevee to gain experience. The time in your game is the same time as in real life; night occurs from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. When you Eevee has gained enough experience to gain a level, it will evolve into Umbreon.
