How to Catch Lucario on Pokemon Diamond

In "Pokemon Diamond," one of the first versions of the Pokemon series released for the Nintendo DS console, players journey through the Johto and Kanto regions of the Pokemon world while training and catching Pokemon, battling trainers and gym leaders and completing missions on their quest to becoming a Pokemon champion. Lucario, a fighting/steel-type Pokemon, with its powerful moves and quick attack speeds, is a powerful addition to your Pokemon party.

Instructions

  Go to Iron Island using the Pokemon's "Fly" or "Surf" ability. As soon as you arrive at the island, a trainer named Riley will approach you and ask if you would help him on a mission. Click "Yes" and follow him toward the bottom floor of Iron Island.

  Double-team with Riley to battle two trainers that stand in your way on the bottom floor of Iron Island. Once you have defeated the trainers, Riley will gift you an egg. The egg includes an unhatched Riolu, which you must hatch and evolve into Lucario.

  Walk around with the unhatched Riolu egg in your Pokemon party. After about 1,000 steps, your character will notice some activity in his bag. A cutscreen will appear with the egg hatching into a Riolu.

  Increase Riolu's happiness to speed the evolution process. You can keep Riolu's happiness high by winning battles with it, giving it massages in the Resort Area and Veilstone City, and giving it Calcium, Carbos and Protein vitamins between battles.

  Continue to travel with a happy Riolu. After a time, your character will be startled by a disturbance in his Pokemon party and a cutscreen will appear with your Riolu evolving into a Lucario.
