How to Get Clamperl In Pokémon HeartGold

Clamperl is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in the third generation "Pokémon Ruby," "Sapphire" and "Emerald" games for the Game Boy Advance. It evolves into Huntail if traded while holding a DeepSeaTooth, and it evolves into Gorebyss if traded while holding a DeepSeaScale. Both of Clamperl's evolved forms are adept baton-passers, able to pass on the benefits of moves such as Agility, Amnesia and Iron Defense to teammates. In "Pokémon HeartGold," players can find Clamperl only when it swarms.

Instructions

  Defeat the Elite Four and the Pokémon League Champion. Talk to Professor Elm to obtain the S.S. Ticket.

  Fly to Olivine City and head south to the docks. Board the S.S. Aqua, and Professor Oak will upgrade your Pokédex to the National Dex.

  Equip the PokéGear's radio and tune into Professor Oak's "Pokémon Talk" program. If the program announces a Clamperl swarm, proceed to step 4. Otherwise, tune into "Pokémon Talk" once a day until a Clamperl swarm is announced.
- 4
  Head to Route 19 and surf in the water until Clamperl appears. Weaken Clamperl in battle and throw Poké Balls at it until it is caught.
