How to Use a Seal in Pokemon: Diamond

Obtaining Seals

  Obtain the "Seal Case" from a woman in "Solaceon Town," located on the eastern side of the "Sinnoh" region. Head north of the Pokemon Center, walk east, jump down the second ledge and continue south to the house ahead. Talk to the woman in the house to obtain the Seal Case. This will be found in your "Key Items" pocket.

  Purchase seals from the "Sunyshore Market," located in the northern part of "Sunyshore City." Go inside the market and talk to the person at the counter to purchase seals. The current stock of seals rotate every 24 hours, the same set of seals reappearing every week on the same day. Seals are stored inside your seal case. Trainers can't use seals directly from their seal case.

  Go to "Soleacon Ruins" to capture "Unknown" Pokemon. Capturing Unknown Pokemon gives you access to alphabet seals, made by the boy living in the house east of the Pokemon Center. Walk behind the Pokemon Center and then head far east; jump down the cliffs on the southeastern side and go into the opening, the entrance of Solaceon Ruins.

  Head inside Solaceon Ruins to capture any Unknown you encounter in the main hall. Walk down the northeastern set of stairs to talk to the young boy standing in the room. Set your chosen Unknown as the first Pokemon in your active party; head back to the boy's house. Speak to the boy to receive 10 seals of the letter of your choice.

Using Seals

  Go to any Pokemon Center to use the blue PCs, located in the northeastern corner of every Pokemon Center. Select "Ball Capsules" from the PC menu and choose your desired Pokeball.

  Drag your selected seals to the white Ball Capsule on the bottom screen; you can set up to eight seals at a time, with each seal emerging from its exact location once the chosen Pokeball launches. Place seals closer to the Ball Capsule's button to launch it faster; placing seals farther from the button makes them launch slower.

  Save your seal design and set it to your chosen Pokemon's Pokeball. Remove seals by selecting the "Remove" option on the menu after selecting your seal-clad Pokeball.
