How to Get to Professor Oak in Soul Silver

In "Pokemon SoulSilver," you explore the Johto region with your partners, a team of friendly and loyal Pokemon. In the Johto region, Professor Elm is the man who helps you on your journey. As you travel, you hear radio reports from the neighboring Kanto region's Pokemon expert, Professor Oak. Oak is a wise old Pokemon researcher who is eager to reward the performance of talented young trainers like yourself. He has a special prize for you at his research lab. To get to him, though, you need to find a way to travel to Kanto.

Instructions

- 1
  Collect all eight of the gym badges in the Johto region. Pass through Victory Road and defeat the Elite Four to beat the first half of the game.

  Wait for the game's credits to roll. Save your game when prompted. When the game restarts, you are back in your home. Leave the house and go to Professor Elm's lab next door.

  Take the S.S. Ticket from Professor Elm. Leave the lab and go to Olivine City. Walk to the docks and climb aboard the ferry.

  Travel to each city when the ferry reaches Kanto. Battle each trainer in the eight gyms across the region to collect all of the Kanto badges.
- 5
  Go to Pallet Town and enter the lab in the middle of the group of houses. Professor Oak is inside. Talk to him to receive your reward: one of three Kanto starter Pokemon.
