How to Use Your Bow in Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies

"Dragon Quest IX: Sentinel of the Starry Skies" was released for the Nintendo DS in 2010. Your characters can change vocations at any time during the game. For example, your warrior can become a ranger. This is useful since certain weapons, such as the bow, can only be used by certain character classes. Once you have completed the quest at the Quarantomb, you will be able to change your character's vocation from Alltrade Abbey at any time.

Instructions

      Travel to Alltrades Abbey, located on the island in the northeast corner of Newid Isle.

      Speak to Jack-of-all-Trades, the character who allows you to switch your vocation, at the north end of Alltrades Abbey.

      Select the character whose vocation will be changed.

      Select the new vocation. Vocations that can use bows include the Armamentalist, Ranger and Sage.

      Press "Start" and select "Equipment."

    • 6

      Select the "Sword" icon to access your weapons. Press "A" on the bow to equip it to that character.

      Select "Attack" during battle to use the bow on an enemy.
