How to Access an SD Card on DSi

The DSi is a handheld gaming device from Nintendo. In addition to playing video games, the DSi is a camcorder, audio recording device and sound editor. The DSi also plays music from the user's collection via SD card compatibility. These audio files can then by edited and remixed through the DSi's sound editing software. The audio can be heard both through headphones and the speakers that are built into the DSi.

Instructions

      Insert the SD card into the SD slot on the right side of the DSi.

      Open the DSi and push the power button.

      Scroll through the main menu until you locate an icon with a parrot and musical note. When highlighted, the icon reads, "Nintendo DSi Sound."

      Click on the "Nintendo DSi Sound" icon. This will take you to another screen with an orange icon that reads, "Play with your Music." This icon is a picture of an SD card.

      Click on the "Play with your Music" icon. This will take you to the DSi's sound data. Under the "Memories" tab, a blue SD folder will appear.

      Click on the blue SD folder. You now have access to the data on your SD card.
