How to Catch Dusknoir in Pokemon

The ghost Pokemon Dusknoir appears in "Pokemon: Diamond," "Pokemon: Pearl," "Pokemon: Platinum," "Pokemon: Heart Gold" and "Pokemon: Soul Silver." The "Pokemon" Pokedex says Dusknoir can receive radio signals from the spirit world with the antenna on its head. Although players cannot capture Dusknoir in the wild in any of the games, it is possible to possess Dusknoir by completing a series of steps.

Instructions

  Travel along Route 224, circling the area in search of random encounters. Route 224 is in the Sinnoh region, north of Sunyshore City and east of Veilstone City. You may encounter a Duskull at level 23 or a Dusclops at levels 52 or 54.

  Attack the Duskull or a Dusclops until it is weakened enough to capture. If you have captured a Duskull, you will need to use it in battles until it evolves into a Dusclops at level 37.

  Travel along Route 229, also in the Sinnoh region, north of the Resort Area and east of Route 230. The "Reaper Cloth" will be in this area. In "Pokemon: Diamond" and "Pokemon: Pearl," the cloth is in Turnback Cave. In "Pokemon: Platinum," it is at Acuity Lakefront. In "Pokemon: Heart Gold" and "Pokemon: Soul Silver," it is at Mount Silver in the Johto Region.

  Attach the Reaper Cloth to your Dusclops.

  Ask a friend with a Nintendo DS and "Platinum," "Pearl," "Diamond," "Heart Gold" or "Soul Silver" to sit near you. Turn on your games. Get the Pal Pad for each of you. It is in the Oreburgh City Wi-Fi Club.

  Open your menu and select "Bag" and then "Key Items." Select "Pal Pad" and "Use." Beneath your character's name, click on "Code." Give this code to your friend. Receive your friend's code in exchange.

  Repeat Step 6, but select "Register Friend Code" instead of "Code." Enter your friend's name and code, selecting "OK" after you enter each.

  Travel to the bottom floor of any Pokemon Center and speak to the Wi-Fi Club representative. Both players should do this. Select "Yes" four times after you talk to the representative. This opens the "trade" screen.

  Select your friend's name in the "trade" screen and click "Invite." Trade your Dusclops to your friend and confirm the trade. The Dusclops will evolve into Dusknoir. Trade again to get Dusknoir back into your system.
