How to Get Exp on Pokemon Black & White

"Pokemon White" and "Pokemon Black" were released for the Nintendo DS in 2011. Players use fictional animals, called Pokemon, to do battle with each other. Pokemon get stronger when they gain levels, which comes from gaining experience. Players can gain experience by battling or obtaining a rare item. The experience needed to level up is shown below the Pokemon's health while in battle or at the bottom of the Pokemon screen of the Nintendo DS.

Instructions

  Walk through tall grass, dark patches of sand and caves to battle wild Pokemon. Wild Pokemon appear randomly and defeating one gives you a varying amount of experience, depending on the type and level of the Pokemon. Wild Pokemon are also found by fishing and surfing.

  Confront other Pokemon Trainers on each route or in gyms. Each Pokemon that you defeat from a trainer will give you experience, varying on the type of trainer, the Pokemon used and the Pokemon's level. Pokemon defeated from a trainer give more experience than Pokemon defeated in the wild.

  Use a Rare Candy. When used, a Rare Candy will give your Pokemon enough experience to reach the next level. There is a limited amount of Rare Candy in the game. Players can find the candy on various routes, including Route 2.
