How to Do Action Replay on a New Game

The Action Replay DS is a device, distributed by Datel, that allows users to add cheat codes to their favorite Nintendo DS™ games. If you have purchased a new DS game and wish to add cheats to it, you may find that your Action Replay DS device does not have cheats for the game, as it was released after the cheat device became available. However, you can easily update your Action Replay DS device with the use of a computer and the equipment that comes with your DS.

Web-enabled computer (with Action Replay DS code software installed)

  Insert your new game into the game slot of your Action Replay DS, and then insert the Action Replay DS device into the game slot of your DS.

  Connect the small end of your Action Replay DS cable to the data port found on the device. Connect the USB end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.

  Turn on your DS. Select UPDATE in the Action Replay DS main menu..

  Select the Action Replay DS icon on your computer to load your Action Replay program. Select AUTO-UPDATE to begin uploading the newest game codes to your Action Replay DS device. After the update is complete, the Action Replay DS device should have a list of codes prepared for your new game.
