How to Create a Dark Void in Pokemon Pearl

Many rare and powerful Pokemon with obscure abilities are hidden throughout Pokemon Pearl. One very difficult Pokemon to obtain is the Darkrai. This Pokemon is hidden away on Newmoon Island. The Darkrai controls the ability called the Dark Void which instantly puts its foes to sleep. This attack is equally affective in Double Battles putting both Pokemon to sleep.

Instructions

- 1
  Travel to Canalave City. This is just left of Jubilife City.

  Talk to the sailor in the Pokemon Center. The sailor tells you about his son being tormented with nightmares.

  Travel witht the Sailor to Newmoon Island located in the Sinnoh region.

  Enter the shaded opening in the trees, where you find the Darkrai at level 40.

  Capture the Darkrai located in the center of the lake using a Masterball.

  Leave Newmoon Island to return to main land. Challenge and attack any Pokemon in field. Use Darkrai in battle.

  Battle with Darkrai until it has grown to level 66. Once at level 66, Darkrai learns the Dark Void attack.

  Activate Dark Void attack. This attack drains the energy of the opposing Pokemon by putting them to sleep.

  Follow the Dark Void attack with sleep related attacks. Using Nightmare will inflict damage on a sleeping opponent with every turn. Using Dream Eater, Darkrai will absorb half of the energy used to heal the sleeping opponent. Dark Pulse will make the sleeping opponent flinch.
