How to Raise Red Turnips in Animal Crossing

When you first begin playing "Animal Crossing: Wild World," you don't have a penny to your name. You've just moved to a new town, where items are purchased with a currency called "bells." One way to earn them quickly is to raise and sell red turnips. Each Sunday, a turnip seller named Joan comes to town. You can buy either white turnips or red turnip seeds from her. The red turnip seeds are meant to be planted in the ground and cared for. If you care for the turnip seeds properly for one week, you will make a significant profit on your investment.

Instructions

    • 1

Look for Joan wandering around the town on Sunday. Joan is a boar with a large pack on her back.

    • 2

Speak to Joan and purchase a red turnip seed packet for 1,000 bells. You're only able to buy one packet per week.

    • 3

Plant the turnip seeds in the ground by your house. You don't need to dig a hole to plant the seeds. Simply select the pack in your inventory and select "Plant."

    • 4

Water the turnips every day of the week. If you miss a day of watering, the turnips will rot, and you won't be able to sell them.

    • 5

Equip your shovel on Saturday and dig the turnips out of the ground. Go to Tom Nook's store and offer the turnips for sale. Tom Nook will pay you 16,000 bells for them, so you will make a profit of 15,000 bells.
