How to Find Volkner

Volkner is the leader of the Sunyshore City Gym, as well as the eighth and final gym leader in the "Diamond," "Pearl," and "Platinum" Pokemon games for the Nintendo DS. He specializes in Electric-type Pokemon such as Raichu and Luxray, but also uses a Normal-type Ambipom and a Water-type Octillery. Defeating Volkner earns the player the Beacon Badge, TM57 (Charge Beam), the ability to use HM07 (Waterfall) outside of battle, and command over traded Pokemon of any level.

     Fly to Pastoria City and exit east onto Route 213. Head east, then north up the steps. Follow the path to reach Route 222.

     Continue east past the trainers to reach Sunyshore City. Flint will inform you of Volkner's lack of passion. Head up the steps onto the paneled pathway.

     Head southeast on the paneled pathway and enter the Vista Lighthouse. Take the elevator to the top floor to find Volkner using the binoculars.
