How to Play Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2007 for Nintendo DS

"Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2007" uses the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi connection to let you challenge people all over the world. The goal is to build your best card deck from more than 1,600 "Yu-Gi-Oh" cards. You also can use the microphone to participate in pre-game voice chats with your competition. The sheer number of cards available allows for an almost endless variety of possible decks.

Instructions

  1. Game Controls

    • 1

Press the "Select" button to change the display format of the card lists. Press "Select" and any direction on the directional pad to change the screen layout.

    • 2

Press "B" to access the "Phase Advance" menu or to skip activation confirmation messages. Press the "Y" button to turn through the pages of card text.

    • 3

Press the "X" button to toggle detailed card information on or off. Press the "A" button to display the card activation messages.

    • 4

Use the Nintendo DS touch screen to scroll through the card list or to drag a card to or from a deck. Press the "L" button to toggle between the tabs for Trunk, Deck, Side Deck or Fusion Deck.

    Dueling

    • 5

Choose either one of the preset decks or build your own. If you're building your own, build it to cover all potential attacks and have enough cards capable of restoring your cards if they take damage. For example, have a card with an ice specialty to combat fire enemies, a card with a lightning specialty to combat water enemies, etc.

    • 6

Select the appropriate card to combat your enemy's actions during the duel. This game is entirely made up of duels, and this will be where your card selection comes into play. If your deck is balanced, you should be able to combat any enemy attack.

    • 7

Defeat the enemy by taking out all his cards. You'll probably lose some cards in the process, but each lost card should give you a better idea of how to handle those cards in the future.
