Unlock Sealed Chests
Some locked chests in the game contain armor pieces that can be upgraded by opening them in the correct era. To receive an upgraded item from one of these chests, travel to 600 A.D. and examine the chest. When asked whether you would like to open the chest, say "No." Then travel to 1000 A.D. and open the same chest to receive your upgraded item. If you open the chests in 600 A.D., you will receive the nonupgraded versions of the items.
Recruit Magus
After you destroy the Ocean Palace, go to North Cape without Frog in your party and examine the glowing circle on the ground. Magus will appear and invite you to battle. Decline the challenge to have Magus join your party.
Multiple Prism Dresses
The Prism Dress armor is one of the best defensive items in the game. When fighting Queen Zeal in her final form (a head with two large hands), use Charm on each of the hands to receive one prism dress from each.
"Not Guilty" Trial Verdict
The actions you perform at the Millennial Fair in the beginning of the game affect several later sequences of events, including Crono's trial. To have Crono be found not guilty, do the following things at the fair: talk to the cat, return it to the little girl and check on Nadia before picking up her dropped pendant. Do not attempt to sell the pendant to Melchior or to eat the old man's lunch. If you perform all of these actions, you will receive not guilty verdicts from all of the jurors but one in the trial scene.
Unlimited Strength Capsules
Add Ayla to your party before you go to the Black Omen. When your party encounters an enemy called Blubber Hulk, use Ayla's Charm ability on it to receive a strength capsule. Run away from the enemy and exit the room. Return and repeat the process for unlimited strength capsules.
